What you'll find here
A page for each lake with the water temperature, the wind right now, the next 24 hours of wind, and a four-day forecast. We also turn the numbers into plain answers: is it warm enough to swim, calm enough to paddle, or windy enough to sail?
We started with 183 of the world's best-known lakes and add more as we connect reliable data sources.
Who's behind it
Lakedip is an independent website. We're not part of, or endorsed by, any of the organisations whose data we use. We name them on every page because they do the hard work of measuring and modelling lakes, and they deserve the credit.
How Lakedip is paid for
The site carries no ads and no paid links. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly next to any link that earns us money, and it will never change the conditions we show.
